GSM based Stock Empty or Full indicator using Weight sensor

GSM based Stock Empty or Full indicator using Weight sensor

Project Cost: 9,400

Project Code: 1630

Description of the project:

GSM based Stock Empty or Full indicator using Weight sensor sends SMS alerts whenever stock or storage is Full (or empty). There are two threshold levels, Full and Empty. The threshold value is decided using a Toggle switch. When the toggle switch is in Full condition then SMS is sent when stock is Full. And when the toggle switch is at empty condition then SMS is generated when storage is empty. This project can be used at companies, offices, and even in our homes or schools for monitoring various stocks and storage.

Working of the SMS based stock empty indicator using weight sensor:

  • A load cell reads the weight of the object and sends the data to the microcontroller.
  • The microcontroller converts this digital data into the respective value of the actual weight of the object.
  • The LCD display shows the weight of the object.
  • The microcontroller also reads the status of the toggle switch (Empty or Full).
  • If the weight of an object is within the desired range then the microcontroller does not take any additional actions. It just keeps on reading and displaying the weight of the object.
  • An Alarm (Buzzer) is triggered immediately if weight is beyond the desired level.
  • A user receives an SMS alert.

Description in detail:

Various important blocks of the system are:

  1. Microcontroller
  2. Weight sensor: We have used a load cell in this project.
  3. GSM modem: We have used a sim900 GSM modem.
  4. LCD Display: We have used a 16 x 2 alphanumeric LCD display.
  5. Buzzer: Microcontroller switches on the Piezoelectric buzzer in case of empty stock (or full)
  6. Toggle switch

Applications of GSM based Stock Empty or Full indicator using Weight sensor:

  1. We can use this project in Industries to monitor the weight of various raw materials.
  2. We can use SMS-based stock empty indicators in offices, Shops, Colleges, Schools, and in our homes to monitor various storage items.

Advantages of GSM based Stock Empty or Full indicator using Weight sensor:

  1. This project is easy to use.

Future Development:

  1. We can provide a voice feedback system.

sir, i am working on some gsm project,,
actually we need to call from any mobile number to gsm module and the gsm module should automatically disconnect the call after 3 rings and then it need to reply to the same incoming number with some information,, will you please tell me how we can do this,, i know how to view the details of the incoming number by AT+CLIP=1,,
but i nee to store the incoming call number somewhere for later use!!!!!!

    PLEASE HELP SIR

    thanks,
