Toxic Gas Detection using GSM technology

Toxic Gas Detection using GSM technology

Project Cost: 9,500

Project Code: 1684

Description of the project:

The Toxic Gas Detection using GSM project aims to monitor hazardous environmental conditions, including toxic gases through a GSM modem. This project can be used in industry or mines to monitor and help people to warn about toxic gas conditions. This project even can be used as an air pollution detector. This is also called a Remote Gas Monitoring system.

Description in detail:

We are monitoring 3 gases under this project, first is CO Carbon Monoxide, second is LPG Gas and the third is methane gas. The project consists of parameter monitoring and sending parameters through SMS. We have used a GSM modem to send SMS. These values can later be seen using a mobile SMS inbox.

Applications and Advantages of Toxic Gas Detection using GSM:

This project can be used for the following application

  1. In the industry.
  2. In the coal mines.

Future Development for the Project:

1. We can monitor and store more parameters like Humidity, PH of soil, and pressure, by replacing the level sensing module with a temperature sensor or respective sensor.

2. We can store this data in a memory location using a memory IC or a memory card.

3. We can draw graphs of variations in these parameters using a computer.
